For 2018, HomeWorks Energy set a goal to help homeowners in Massachusetts cut 500,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions through energy efficient solutions. So far this year, we have cut over 462,900 metric tons of CO2 emissions. That’s 92.5% of our goal! This would not be possible without all the homeowners who took steps towards improving the comfort and efficiency of their homes this year.

Here are a few other ways to look at our Q3 energy efficiency results:


What does it cost for you to heat and cool your home for a full year? By starting with a No-Cost Home Energy Assessment and investing in recommended projects such as insulation or a new water heater, homeowners can cut utility costs by as much as 20%.

Through energy efficiency improvements made through the 3rd quarter of this year, our customers will generate a combined lifetime savings of $125 Million. 


Did you know Massachusetts is #1 in energy efficiency for the last seven years?* With solutions like replacing conventional light bulbs with energy-efficient ENERGY STAR® LED’s and upgrading to programmable thermostats that allow you to set your homes heating/cooling system to run according to  your schedule, homeowners are able to conserve energy while still living comfortably year-round.

From July though September, HomeWorks helped our customers conserve over 118 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.  This is enough energy to power all households in towns the size of Wakefield and Bedford, for a full year! 



Through community partnerships and initiatives, we assist homeowners do their part today to help the world of tomorrow. Additionally, we help homeowners conserve water by replacing shower heads and faucet aerators with low-flow options.

From July through September, HomeWorks Energy installed over 9,000 water saving devices in homes throughout Massachusetts, all at no cost to homeowners.
